Within 100 yards of Nad’s Baps. There’s a take away on the left, and a seating area on the right. It is full of signs relating to the seaside, e.g. “A little sand below the toes always takes away the woes“, “Last sandwich shop before the beach”.

The menu is divided into “Hot food”, available in a Bap or a Baguette, and “Cold Food”, available in a Panini or Toastie. The fillings are fairly standard, but are complemented by a “Specials Board”. In a nod to the seaside, ice creams are on offer.

I ordered an egg bap and a cup of tea. I was offered a choice of how I wanted my eggs done, and they were perfectly cooked, but the bap was small. The tea was inexplicably served in a glass.
